Efektifitas Senam Yoga Antenatal Terhadap Tingkat Kecemasan Ibu Primigravida dalam Menghadapi Persalinan di Puskesmas Tanjung Karang Kota Mataram
Abstract
The childbirth process affects psychological aspects which can cause various psychological problems, one of which is anxiety. In addition to having an impact on the delivery process, the anxiety that occurs can also affect the condition of the fetus and mother. There are many ways to reduce anxiety both pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically, one of the non-pharmacological ways is to do physical activity during pregnancy, including meditation or yoga exercise during pregnancy/antenatal yoga exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of antenatal yoga exercise on reducing anxiety in third trimester primigravida pregnant women at Tanjung Karang Public Health Center, Mataram City. This research is included in a quasi-experimental study with a non-randomized pre-test post-test with control group design. The sampling technique was consecutive sampling. The sample in this study was 60 pregnant women who were divided into 2 groups, namely group I (intervention group) of 30 pregnant women and group II (control group) of 30 pregnant women. The instrument used the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) questionnaire. This study started from July-August 2021. The results showed that the significance level was p = 0.000. The hypothesis was accepted because p<0.05, this indicates that antenatal yoga exercise is quite effective in reducing anxiety in pregnant women in facing childbirth. This research is expected to be useful for pregnant women to reduce anxiety levels and as a physical and mental preparation for childbirth
