Strategi Edukasi dan Implementasi Hypertension Self Management Behavior pada Penderita Hipertensi

Abstract


Increasing cases of hypertension lead to an increasing risk of complications resulting in higher morbidity and mortality rates. Preventive measures are needed to reduce morbidity and mortality. Self-care management behavior or hypertension self-management behavior plays a role in reducing the risk of complications, controlling blood pressure and reducing morbidity and mortality. Hypertension Self Management Behavior is the ability to control blood pressure through positive behavior by modifying behavior that was initially mal-adaptive into adaptive behavior. Self-care skills are applied through activities of daily living so that blood pressure can be well controlled. Groups of people who are at risk and unhealthy lifestyles in some mothers who are approaching old age and often ignore complaints because of some busy life. The purpose of the activity is education and implementation efforts related to self-care management behavior or hypertension self-management behavior in people with hypertension in the community. . The method used is guidance and counseling (guidance and counseling) to increase understanding of health and awareness intensively in special groups in society. Education is provided with examples of implementation and explanations through surveys, interviews and observations as well as filling out questionnaires about the knowledge and behavior of people with hypertension. The activity was carried out on a group of mothers who were early elderly and had a history and complaints identified as Hypertension in the RT 002 RW 008 Buluampal Bendo Pare Kediri area. The results of community service obtained data that almost all hypertension sufferers have sufficient knowledge and most are less obedient to self-care management of hypertension sufferers. Education strategies and increasing the implementation of hypertension self management behavior through health service activities include promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative. Health workers through government programs to continue to increase their active role in the community in providing information, screening and controlling increased cases through good collaboration and collaboration capabilities with the community.
